Anthony Frisella was born in New Orleans, Louisiana to Italian immigrant parents. He has enjoyed four successful artistic careers: operatic tenor, operatic stage director, author, and internationally acclaimed voice teacher. He has authored world-renowned vocal technique manuals including the Tenor voice, the Soprano voice, the Baritone voice, the Singer’s Notebook,  and the Art of Singing on the Breath Flow.

Maestro Frisella has composed two operas, Dorian Gray, the Secret of the Painting, based on the Oscar Wilde novel, and Rasputin the story of the Russian Revolution.  Additionally, he has written a number of novels including Golden Throat, The Megadome, The Wrong Side of Paradise, A Darkness over the Heart, and a screenplay entitled, Halo of Fire, The Life and Times of Girolamo Savonarola.

We are delighted to honor Maestro Frisell in song! Current and former students will be performing some of his favorite works by Verdi. Puccini, Bizet to name a few, as well a piece from his opera "Doran Gray". "Dorian Gray" features sublime melodies, intricate harmonies and soaring climax. Please join us!
